Sarah Pannell is an Australian photographer and artist based in Melbourne/Naarm. She holds a BA in International Studies from Deakin University (2009) and a BA in Photography from RMIT University (2012). Sarah focuses on observing and documenting shifting cultures and evolving spaces with a soft and humanistic perspective. She strives to capture the delicate interplay between people and their environments, focusing on everyday life and the preservation of traditions.
Sarah has published several photographic works, including her debut monograph Tabriz to Shiraz (2019) with Perimeter Editions and Hillvale, as well as self-published titles such as Welcome (2024), The Territories (2015) and Sehir (2014). Her work has been exhibited in Australia and abroad, including at the National Gallery of Victoria and the Old Treasury Building Museum.
Sarah’s clients include Bloomberg, Lonely Planet, Airbnb, Eurail, Thames & Hudson, Hassell, Tourism Australia and Museums Victoria. Sarah works within the food, lifestyle, editorial and travel industry as a freelance photographer. Commercial portfolios available by email request.
